With all the talk about whether moving the Ravens-Dolphins to primetime would conflict with Baltimore’s New Year’s Eve celebrations, the game will remain as scheduled.

At 11-3, the Baltimore Ravens currently sit atop the AFC and the Miami Dolphins are just one game behind at 10-4, which sets up for an exciting Week 17 matchup on New Year’s Eve in Baltimore.

The NFL had the option to move the game from 1 p.m. to as late as 8 p.m., which would have put it on Sunday Night Football. As of Thursday afternoon, 98 Rock has learned that the decision was made to keep the game at 1 p.m., as originally scheduled.

There was talk earlier this week that city leaders would oppose moving the game to primetime due to logistics over New Year’s Eve celebrations, but the mayor debunked that in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying: “Wrong. I’ve told any and everybody that we want it on Sunday Night Football because that’s where it belongs!”
