The Seed School of Maryland was founded in 2008 to prepare students from underserved communities from all over the state for college. In many cases this is the first person from their family to go to college. The school is co-ed 6th through 12th grades. It offers an immersive 5 day a week boarding school that focuses on education, after school activities and social-emotional learning to make sure the student body has the life skills to succeed. Director of Academics Dr. Tashawna Miller and Director of Development Katie Del Carmen Byram talk about the campus, rigorous curriculum, how they help these kids realize their potential and how you can get involved. For runners who like to help out they will have a 5K next year that you can sign up or volunteer for.
